Unanimous resolution passed for the solar park "Kellersche Straße" in Schönermark

On April 18, 2024, our project in Schönermark reached an important milestone as the municipal council unanimously approved the planning resolution for the proposed "Kellersche Straße" Solar Park with a 4:0 vote.

A large-scale and high-capacity project: Spanning 26 hectares, the solar park will feature an installed capacity of 28 MWp, contributing significantly to renewable energy production.

Close collaboration with local stakeholders The chosen site in Schönermark meets the municipality's criteria and is located on low-value agricultural land. To integrate the project into the local environment, a green buffer with native shrubs and trees will be established along Kellersche Straße. At a community meeting, project details and opportunities for involvement were presented, discussed thoroughly, and positively received by residents.

Significant financial benefits for the municipality:

Thanks to current legislation allowing municipalities to share in the revenues of solar power plants, Schönermark can expect annual income of over €60,000 from this project. Additionally, residents of the municipality will have the opportunity to participate financially in the project.

Improved infrastructure and a doubled contribution to the energy transition:

A battery storage facility is planned at the proposed grid connection point, approximately 11 km from the site. This facility will help stabilize fluctuating power generation, ease the load on the grid, and further enhance the project's contribution to the energy transition.
