The Falkenberg-Rehfeld Solar Park makes an important contribution to the regional energy transition and strengthens the local energy supply.
With a capacity of 10 MWp, the solar park supplies around 4,000 households and saves 5,000 tons of CO₂ annually.
With 100% certified renewable energy from the region, we reduce dependency on fossil fuels and foreign energy sources. This not only protects the climate but also supports our local economy.
The solar park is a symbol of the regional energy transition, strengthening the resilience of our community.
Total capacity
Annual CO2 savings
Annual electricity production
Planned Start of Construction
Depending on the weather, construction will begin in February/March 2025.
Road Closures
We’ll keep you updated here with the latest information on construction progress, road closures, and detour options.
Currently, explosive ordnance surveys are being conducted along the power line route. This means metal detectors are being used to check for any remaining ordnance in the ground. Our partners are working with drones and hand carts.
Location
District of Rehfeld, Falkenberg, Elbe-Elster County
Start of Construction
February / March 2025
Construction Time
Approximately 3 months (depending on the weather)
Environmental Impact
Minimal. The materials are mostly recyclable, and the area will be ecologically enhanced by flowering meadows.
That is promoting biodiversity.
Climate Protection On-Site
By saving 5,000 tons of CO₂ annually, we actively contribute to combating climate change.
Financial Benefits for the Municipality
The municipality directly benefits from the revenue through legally regulated contributions.
Job Creation
From the construction phase to the maintenance of the areas, we work in partnership with local businesses.
Ecological Enhancement and Biodiversity
We transform monocultures and wastelands into thriving habitats for bees, birds, and insects.
Gentle construction without concrete foundations allows the land to be restored to its original state without any residue.
You’re probably wondering what it means for you that a solar park is being built in your community?
Here you will find answers to the most important questions:
We involve the municipality in the financial value creation and generate ecological benefits by designing the areas as flowering meadows. Additionally, we support local economic cycles through partnerships with local service providers. A significant contribution to the municipal budget.
The solar park contributes around €20,000 annually to the municipal budget ("Solar Euro"). Over the next 20–30 years, the municipality will generate approximately €400,000 to €600,000 through the project. These revenues can be used for various municipal initiatives, including improving infrastructure, supporting social projects, or implementing environmental measures.
Additionally, the municipality participates financially in open-space installations according to § 6 Abs. 1 Nr. 2 EEG 2023. § 6 Abs. 1 Nr. 2 EEG 2023.
The generated electricity is fed into the public grid. This strengthens the local energy supply and reduces dependence on fossil fuels.
During construction, temporary light noise may occur, noticeable in the vicinity of the solar park. During operation, the solar park generates very low noise emissions.
The overall landscape appearance will not be affected. We implement visual screening through planting.
No, the construction method allows for complete restoration of the area after the usage period. The areas remain available for future agricultural use. To ensure restoration, we provide a financial guarantee to the municipality.
All materials are almost entirely recyclable, and construction is carried out without concrete foundations. Additionally, we use flowering meadows to promote biodiversity.
The location was chosen due to its good solar radiation, sufficient distance from residential areas, and low agricultural use. This ensures residents are not affected.
